Bobby Deans Hickory Bar-b-q: Authentic Heber BBQ with Smoky Brisket, Ribs & Sausage

What a gem in Heber! Bobby Dean’s Hickory BBQ is a cute little spot with only outdoor seating and definitely geared more for takeout, but they do have picnic benches, and the surrounding scenery makes it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy your meal. We shared the three-meat combo and added the baby back ribs. There was plenty of food for two! The meats were smoked to perfection. The pulled pork was flavorful and juicy, and the sausage ended up being my personal favorite. We also tried the cucumber salad, which was divine and super refreshing, and Grandma’s potato salad was slightly sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The sweet beans rounded everything out perfectly. Barbecue sauces and bread came with the meal, which was a nice touch. Definitely worth a stop if you’re craving good BBQ in Heber!

We visited Bobby Dean's Barbeque today and tried the brisket; it was absolutely fantastic! The meat was tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right balance of bark and juiciness. You can tell Bobby takes real pride in his craft; every bite was packed with rich, deep flavor. The portion was generous, and the potato salad complemented the brisket beautifully. Bobby himself was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re a barbeque lover, Bobby Dean's is definitely worth the roadside stop!

This is the best brisket I've had in years across California, Arizona, and even Texas. Staff was great and the outdoor seating is fantastic. 10/10. An absolute must stop if you're around Fri-Sun.

If you want some delicious BBQ, Bobby Dean's Hickory Barbecue is worth the stop. This is kinda "food truck" style dining with just a couple picnic tables with a shade cover for "dining in". Bobby Dean himself was working the window and was probably one of the nicest, friendliest person I've ever met. We got the 3 meat plate for 2 with ribs, brisket, and sausage which were all amazing. We got the grandma's potato salad and coleslaw and both were made to perfection. Together, my wife and I couldn't finish the whole meal. The meal and 2 drinks ran us $45 which was well worth the price. Definitely going to stop again and try the BBQ chicken.

Fabulous! We got two beef brisket sandwiches to go. It was lovely that the bread was on the side so it didn’t get soggy. The meat was to die for. Super tender and very very lean. I didn’t use the BBQ sauce as the meat was too perfect. I don’t know why I haven’t stopped here before. It was a beautiful evening and their little yard was very inviting. Cheers!

It was absolutely wonderful to come across a great bbq joint. Being full-time rvers, we can't wait to eat our way thru areas! Pulled pork and homemade potato salad & brisket with beans. Delicious

We stopped here on our way home from Showlow and had a delightful outdoor picnic. Got a 3 Meat plate to share with Grandma’s potato salad and crispy cucumber salad. The ribs had a nice bark, the brisket was juicy and the sausage had a perfect snap. Super nice folks running the place to boot!

What a fantastic find!!! We stopped by on our way back into the valley, and holy smokes (pun intended)…. This was some of the BEST brisket we’ve had in quite some time. Usually lean brisket is over done, but not his!!! Perfectly tender and juicy… The macaroni salad and potato salad have bragging rights of their own, as they’re made in house and were equally incredible. The house made BBQ sauce was JUST right, not too sweet with the perfect amount of kick and savory flavor. We will absolutely be coming back! We got to sit in the shade with our dog, and was the perfect spot to break up our drive. The owner was very kind, personable, and we enjoyed the chat we had with him. The valley sure is missing out on a gem like this place!
